Below you can find the eye-cathchers for the European market:

Since the launch of the Luxury Vinyl during the previous edition of Domotex new collections were developed based on the experience with the market. One of these collections is Nature, this is a very wear resistant click vinyl available in several warm earth colours.

The vintage laminate is the perfect alternative for wooden floors. The collections Sapphire & Classica with their big cracks, knots and cutting marks are so impressive that even 5-star hotels have installed this in their public areas. The planks of 12 mm thick make sure that the walking noise is reduced to a minimum and that the installation is easier than ever before.

Check regularly the relative humidity

29 - 10 - 2012

Wooden flooring and wood in general searches for the perfect balance with its environment (moisture level) and will reject or absorb moisture until a perfect balance is reached. A too high or too low relative humidity will influence the floor causing extreme shrinking or expanding of the wood.

Studies have proven that a constant relative humidity in the room is best between 45% and 60% and the room temperature between 18°C and 21°C .

When the heating is turned on during colder months, the relative humidity in the room will drop considerably. Often this is largely under 45%, which causes the wood to dehydrate with possible cracks and splits as a consequence. In case of a too high relative humidity, the wood will expand and the floorboards will move up. This happens mostly in more warmer periods. The damage caused can be irreversible.

Did you know that not only your wooden floor benefits from a constant relative humidity, but also your family, flowers and plants?

Nevertheless a minimum of effort is needed to control the relative humidity with a humidifier or dehumidifier. There are different models on the market, you can always contact us if you need help with selecting the most proper type for your house, via info@lamett.eu.

Step 1: Intensive cleaning with WOCA Wood Cleaner

  • Make the floor dust free.
  • Mix WOCA Wood Cleaner with cold water, proportion 1/20.
In case of heavy pollution the proportion should be 1/10.
  • Apply this mixture with a cotton swepmop, work in areas of 3m².
  • Clean the floor thoroughly with this mixture. Use a handle holder with polishing block if you don’t have a polishing machine. For large surfaces it is advised to use a polishing machine with beige pad (180 rotations/min). In case of heavy pollution use a black pad. Use a polishing block for the corners.
  • Use a water vacuum cleaner to remove the loosened dirt immediately.
  • Clean the floor again with a mop and pure water.
  • Mop until the floor is dry.
  • Repeat the steps above until you have covered the entire surface.
  • Leave the floor to dry.

Attention: You are cleaning wood, limit the use of excessive moist.

Step 2: Application of maintenance oil

  • Spray the WOCA maintenance oil on a surface of +/-5m².
  • Polish the maintenance oil carefully into the wood with a handle holder and polishing block. For larger surfaces it is better to use a polishing machine with beige pad (180 rotations/min).
  • Remove immediately excessive maintenance oil with a dry cloth before proceeding to the next section of the floor.
  • Afterwards use a new beige pad to mop afterwards. If you don’t have a polishing machine use a handle holder and polishing block. The better this is done, the better the end result.

Attention: Because of the risk of self-ignition it’s important that all cloths, paper, pads etc. are put into a bucket of water.

  • After 48 h you can clean the floor with Woca Natural Soap. After you have repeated this weekly maintenance several times, your floor will be optimal protected.
